Thyme-ly research into pig feed

UK - Scientists are investigating whether herbs such as thyme and garlic could be used by pig farmers to replace a number of antibiotics which will be banned in two years. Biologists at Leeds University are seeing if herbs added to feed have the same growth-promoting effects as current drugs, reports The Guardian.
