COOL for Poultry

IRELAND - Irish government announces new labeling provisions for poultry meat. New legislation has been introduced in Ireland to ensure more information is made available at the point of sale to consumers of poultry meat. The Irish Agriculture Minister, Joe Walsh, said the new legislation will require unprocessed poultry meat that is sold loose (without pre-packaging) and which has been imported from outside the European Union to bear an indication of its country of origin.
