Farmer denies chicken litter claims
FAYETTEVILLE - Prairie Grove farmer Hans Hoerleor has become the first defendant to answer allegations that chicken litter, when applied to fields as fertilizer, causes cancer and other health problems. Hoerleor has denied all allegations of wrongdoing and asked to be dismissed from the suit. He is the only individual to be named in the suits, which target the poultry industry over the handling of wastes.
