Information received on 8 March 2004 from Dr Yukol Limlamthong, Director General, Department of Livestock Development, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Bangkok:

End of previous report period: 29 February 2004 (see Disease Information, 17 [10], 65, dated 5 March 2004).

End of this report period: 5 March 2004.

During this reporting period (from 28 February to 5 March 2004), the 2nd round of active surveillance was completed with a total number of 10,046 samples. No new outbreaks were detected.
