Demand rises for beef, pork, chicken

MISSOURI - Research from the University of Missouri's Glenn Grimes confirmed this week that domestic U.S. meat demand is "smoking," writes Steve Meyer of Paragon Economics in this week's issue of North American Preview. Demand indexes for January to March show pork demand up 5.8 percent, beef demand up 6.2 percent and broiler demand up 5.8 percent from the same period last year.
