EU expansion and meat trade
EU - Over this last weekend, Europe suddenly got bigger. The E.U. enlargement occurred with a further 10 countries – eight from the former Eastern block –joining the existing 15 in the European Union. The European Union as a whole will produce freer trading and grater and more accessible markets. For the accession states, including the Baltic states of Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania as well as Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, and Hungary together with Cyprus and Malta, this means a chance for them to be a part of the bigger European picture.
