Korean reward system to contain poultry disease

KOREA - The government will implement a monetary reward system for local governments that successfully prevent or manage outbreaks of livestock and poultry diseases, the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry said Wednesday. The ministry said it will rate local and regional governments and agricultural institutes according to around 20 criteria and will award up to 10 million won (US$9,560) to those with the highest score.
