Marlboro County rejects stiffer poultry farm rules

SOUTH CAROLINA - The Marlboro County Council has rejected rules that would put more limits on poultry farms in the county. The new rules would have required poultry farms to be 1,400 feet from a residence or any other public place and limited the number of chicken houses in one cluster at four.
