There's quality chicken in the bucket - KENTUCKY - KFC Canada is leading the way in quality by ensuring that every KFC customer enjoys safe and farm-fresh "gold standard" chicken.

KFC Canada works directly with certified Canadian chicken processors who follow strict standards set by the Canadian government.

"KFC Canada's suppliers regularly deliver the same fresh Canadian chicken to our restaurants that consumers buy in their grocery store or other leading restaurants," said Steve Langford, general manager of purchasing for KFC Canada.

At KFC restaurants, safety is the number one priority and all chicken is handled with care throughout the preparation and cooking process.

"We have strict, regulated procedures for handling and cooking our 'gold standard' farm-fresh chicken. All of KFC's chicken is cooked at a high temperature using industry-leading heat- and pressure-cooking methods to ensure it is tender, tasty and thoroughly cooked for our customers," said Langford. "You can trust KFC chicken to be safe and delicious."

FACTS about KFC Canada's "gold standard" chicken:

  • Fact No. 3 KFC Canada regularly and randomly audits all of our suppliers' chicken processing facilities.

  • Fact No. 4 KFC strongly supports the Chicken Farmers of Canada's animal welfare initiatives.
