Hybro to run second annual Poultry College in June - THE NETHERLANDS - In June this year, Hybro B.V. will hold its second annual Hybro Poultry College – following the successful introduction of the college in October 2004.

With the introduction of the Hybro Poultry College last year, the leading Dutch broiler breeding company created a course that delivers personal and professional development within the scope of a modern production manager’s role, while at the same time creating a forum for open discussion around the most recent developments in the poultry sector.

The College has become part of Hybro’s pro-active approach to delivering relevant technical service, and with the added benefit of access to Euribrid and the Nutreco Group – aims to share a wealth of expertise not just at GPS, breeder or broiler level, but throughout the entire poultry value chain, with customers and colleagues around the world.

“Last year’s college surpassed all our expectations, “ says Ron Meijerhof, Hybro senior technical specialist and one of the organising team, “We received excellent feedback from last year’s participants - and we are all looking forward to the second edition of what has become known as the ‘best experience in the poultry industry’.”

“Our aim through the college has not changed, nor has the programme. It is still no ordinary school or training facility, but a place for discussion; a place to share new developments, trends, visions, concepts and experiences. The College creates opportunities not only to study key aspects of the poultry value chain, but also to learn from each other and each other’s cultures.” Meijerhof continues.

The content of this year’s course will be similar to that of last year, reflecting the most up-to-date concepts in modern poultry production: a high-level programme that will include a broad range of topics, from breeding and economics, to nutrition, supply chain management and marketing.

The second annual Hybro Poultry College runs from June 21 - July 1, 2005 inclusive, in Boxmeer, The Netherlands – and will include sessions by leading practitioners from Nutreco, Intervet and Stork, among others.
