Czech Poultry processor Xaverov to be split up into two companies

CZECH REPUBLIC - Xaverov, a leading domestic poultry meat supplier, will be divided into two companies - each with 50 percent, and so its food and agricultural part will be separated, shareholders decided at a general meeting today.

Poultry processing will bear the name Xaverov and hatching and breeding of chickens and turkey hens will be concentrated in the firm Otinska kruta, Xaverov CEO Zdenek Stepanek told CTK.

The move, to be completed at the end of September, is to raise competitiveness and improve access to the drawing on European funds.
