Poultry stall rest day set for June 25 - HONG KONG - The Food & Environmental Hygiene Department reminds poultry retailers and the public that the next rest day falls on June 25.

Market poultry stalls and fresh provision shops selling live poultry must suspend business to conduct thorough cleaning and disinfection.

The department urged retailers to strictly observe rest day conditions and ensure all live poultry remaining in their stalls or shops are slaughtered before the rest day.

Stall owners and licensees must not remove any live poultry from the premises to avoid slaughtering. Department staff will inspect outlets. Failure to comply will lead to cancellation of licences or tenancies.
