"This portfolio of highly performing and specific micro-organism additives fits our strategy perfectly", says Philippe Bruneau, General Manager of Filozoo/Adisseo. "It meets the growing demand for innovative and natural feed additives, both at the consumer and production levels", added Eugenio Vincenzi, Technical Director at Filozoo/Adisseo, who has developed a range of innovative premix solutions that combines the best of his know-how in premix and nutrition with the high added value and specificity of this new group of additives. Filozoo/Adisseo has initiated an important communication program as most of the Italian customers are actively working to adapt to the definitive ban of antibiotic growth promoters that will be enforced on January 1st 2006.

Laurent Dussert, Probiotic Product Manager at Lallemand added: " Probiotics represent a sustainable and natural solution of growing interest at the dawn of the antibiotic ban in Europe. Each of our strains is the result of extensive scientific research as it is specifically selected to answer the needs of a particular market: Levucell SC for ruminants and Bactocell and Levucell SB for monogastric animals and the efficacy of each product is well-documented by scientific publications and field results."

Early September Filozoo/Adisseo and Lallemand will host the key players of the Italian animal nutrition for an in-depth symposium. During this one-day session experts from the Industry, University and Public Research Institutes will share experiences on how to face the new challenges of the Italian animal production.
