New global management structure for Cobb - GLOBAL - In a new management structure Cobb-Vantress, Inc has appointed Jerry Moye as senior vice president and created two new vice presidents to provide for expanding broiler breeder sales worldwide - Stan Reid responsible for North America, Asia and Australasia, and James Young for Europe and South America.

"With the continuing growth and success of Cobb around the world, these appointments will reinforce our commitment to customers," says James Bell, president of Cobb-Vantress, Inc.

"All three vice presidents have the advantage of working for our customers before joining Cobb and together they've been in the poultry industry for more than 65 years. Their experience is crucial in better understanding the needs of our customers and in providing the top-class level of service that customers expect of Cobb across the global market."

Jerry Moye has 30 years' experience in the poultry industry, starting with Showell Farms and then Zacky Farms of California where he was director of live production. Since joining Cobb in 1991, he became director of technical service and then general manager before being appointed vice president.

Stan Reid has been general manager for North America for the past two years, responsible for sales and technical service, together with US production of great grandparent, grandparent and parent stock, hatcheries and feed milling. He has worked in the US chicken industry for more than 20 years, and was field sales manager for Merial Select for six years. Since joining Cobb in 2001, he has been US sales manager, and then sales and service director for North America.

James Young was appointed director of Cobb's highly respected World Technical Support Team in January 2004. He moved from Tyson Foods, Inc where he was vice president of operations for a group of complexes with 5000 employees and producing 9 million kg (20 million pounds) of poultry meat each week. He joined Tyson Foods in 1988 and in a period of six years he managed three processing plants and later two different fully integrated poultry complexes.

Under the new structure each vice president will be responsible for the World Technical Support Team operating within their region.
