SOUTH AFRICA - South Africa's Western Cape province has started poultry and ostrich vaccinations against Newcastle disease, after hundreds of chickens at an informal settlement reportedly died from the virus.

South Africa's Western Cape conducts anti-Newcastle disease vaccinations - SOUTH AFRICA - South Africa's Western Cape province has started poultry and ostrich vaccinations against Newcastle disease, after hundreds of chickens at an informal settlement reportedly died from the virus.

The government had earlier lifted its ban on ostrich exports after a nationwide survey revealed the country was free from bird flu.
