US - With Thanksgiving a month away, the turkey industry has launched a public relations offensive to ward off potential backlash from fears of bird flu. In a news conference sponsored by the Department of Agriculture on Wednesday, officials touted their strict security measures and reminded Americans that the country doesn't import poultry from affected countries.
