International poultry, livestock congress today

PAKISTAN - A two-day international livestock and poultry meeting will start today (Tuesday). The congress aims to discuss issues concerning livestock.

The event is being organised by the Pakistan Veterinary Medical Association and the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA).

Around 2,500 delegates from around the world are expected at the meeting. On the first day, there will be two technical sessions in which experts will read their papers on dairy development and focus on women’s participation in rural economy and livestock development.

There will be three sessions on the second day in which speakers will present their works on poultry development, pharmaceuticals and public private partnership in the livestock sector.
