Aviagen's Ross Middle East Team on the Road Supporting Customers - ASIA - At the end of 2005, Aviagen, the world's leading poultry breeding company, completed a year-long programme of Ross technical seminars and roadshows, specially tailored to the demands of the Middle East Marketplace.

Working in conjunction with Middle Eastern Distributors, Aviagen hosted seminars tackling practical issues across a broad range of farming topics including nutrition, genetics, biosecurity and brooding management.

The series of seminars was organised to support Ross customers and was led by the technical team comprising Bruce Evans, Dr Waleed El Deeb and Dr Hosam Amro. Over 1500 customers attended the events from across the region. The seminars are an important part of Aviagen's technical delivery and are designed to support the production chain and maximise profitability at each stage of the production process.

In June 2005, Aviagen's customer focus team and representatives from Ross distributors in the region met to discuss issues and formulate individual plans to help provide a more enhanced service to the industry. This and subsequent meetings have provided an opportunity to strengthen relationships between Aviagen distributors.

Bruce Evans, Middle East Regional Technical Manager commented: "We were delighted by the demand and turnout of the seminars in each country.

"I would also like to extend my thanks to our Ross parent stock distributors within the region. The delivery of the technical message depends on having good local customer focus teams who work closely with us to identify the technical issues and the best ways to help our customers.

"We will continue to work with our distributors and customers in the region with specific regard to nutrition, feed physical format, chick start, best practise for vaccination and ventilation to maximise the potential of the Ross Bird."
