China Broiler Market Weekly
CHINA - In this weeks China Broiler Market Weekly, eFeedLink report that broiler prices extended gains in southern China on increased demand while those of AA broiler were rose on low supplies during the week ending Mar 1.
Market analysis
Broiler prices in Guangdong province and Guangxi Zhuang Region continued previous week's gains. The return of migrant workers and the start of a new school term contributed to higher demand.
AA broiler prices extended gains in Shandong, Liaoning and Jiangsu provinces on low supplies. Broiler consumption and demand for frozen broiler cuts, however, did not rise significantly.
Broiler prices in Henan province were down again on fresh bird flu outbreaks in neighbouring Zhejiang and Anhui provinces. In Jiangsu province, prices of China breed broilers were also lower as demand from buyers in other provinces slackened.
Market forecast
Fresh cases of bird flu infections in some regions may affect near-term price outlook in China's broiler market. Demand is seen sluggish in the week ahead on bird flu concerns.
