China Broiler Market Weekly
CHINA - In this weeks China Broiler Market Weekly, eFeedLink report that prices mixed; pre-holiday demand stays lacklustre.
Price summary
Broiler prices in China were mixed in the week ending Apr 26.
Market analysis
Despite expectations of improved broiler demand in the run up to the Labour Day holidays (first week of May), broiler prices in some regions had continued to stay weak.
Increased imports of lower-priced broiler products, warmer weather conditions as well as recent reports of human bird flu fatality have affected prices in these regions.
However, prices of fast growth (49 days) and slow growth (110 days) broilers in Guangxi Zhuang Region registered some gains on increased consumption. In Jiangsu province, prices of fast growth broilers were also marginally higher.
Market forecast
In the week ahead, broiler prices are not expected to rise significantly unless demand pick up strongly in the few days prior to the Labour Day holidays. In regions where broiler prices are high, some downward movements are expected.
