The PN+ joins the PG+ and the G+, to deliver superior performance for producers of hatching eggs and day old chicks, and is expected to further fuel the company’s ambitious plans for growth this year.

With the full complement of enhanced products now in place, Hybro is targeting an ambitious 40 per cent growth in worldwide markets in 2006, to further consolidate its success in achieving 35 per cent growth last year.

According to Hybro’s general manager, Richard Maatman, the Company’s focus on matching superior, well-balanced products for each market segment with well-structured, high-level technical support around the world, is proving to be a highly successful strategy. “By continuing to work closely with our customers and partners, [Hybro] made significant progress over the past two years, in establishing the PG+ and the G+ as viable alternatives to market leading birds.”

Throughout Hybro’s portfolio, the emphasis is on delivering for the bottom line for each segment throughout the integration, and Hybro’s PG+ and G+ are becoming well-established worldwide, as birds that reliably deliver for producers of live broilers and carcasses (PG+), and for fully integrated white-meat producers (G+) respectively.

“The markets have responded very positively to the PG+ and G+”, explains Richard Maatman, “with performance exactly in line with our predictions. We are widely engaged in discussions for increasing numbers, and moving the Hybro birds into the no.1 spot in a number of key integrations worldwide.”

Hybro was one of the first companies to recognise the call for a varied product portfolio, responding at the turn of the Century with the launch of the Hybro PG, G and PN, and introducing further product enhancements with the ‘upgraded’ PG+ and G+ in 2003. “The development of our enhanced ‘+’ broiler breeders has been fuelled by significant advances in [Hybro’s] genetic development programme, to add segment-specific refinements to product performance,” explains Gosse Veninga, Hybro’s chief geneticist. “We have worked closely with our customers around the world, to focus on meeting the very specific, bottom-line needs of the three segments of the poultry production chain, combining this intelligence with the breakthroughs made by the Nutreco Breeding and Research Centre and its partners in deciphering chicken DNA.”

The Hybro PN+ makes up the trio of products to deliver superior numbers of hatching eggs and day old chicks, once again, without compromising on the balance of the product. The PN+ delivers much improved broiler results, without compromising superior breeder performance.
