Samoa poultry may undergo NZ tests

SAMOA - Government officials say they are yet to receive a request from Samoa to test samples from dead chickens for diseases including bird flu.

Samoan authorities say they are sending tissue samples to New Zealand from ten chickens, which died in a village on the main island of Upolu.

The family that owns the poultry says it raised the alert after the birds all died in the space of a week.
