Aviagen Appoints Exclusive Distributor in Greece - GREECE - Aviagen, the world's leading poultry breeding company, has signed a contract which will see Kego A.E become the exclusive distributor for Ross 308 parent stock in Greece.

Based in Nea Artaki, Kego A.E will supply the Greek market with immediate effect. The company, a major agri-business in the region, has strong credentials not only in poultry production but also pig and fish production.

Peter Page, Aviagen's Vice President- Europe, commented; "Greece and Cyprus are important markets for us. We have been impressed by Kego for a number of years and have been exploring opportunities to increase our focus on customer service. We are pleased to have reached an agreement with Kego and are very confident that not only will they grow our share of the broiler parent stock market with Ross 308, but will deliver an increased level of customer support."

The Greek market currently accounts for approx. 1 million parent stock placements per year. Aviagen has supplied this market through on the ground agents historically.
