PSE suspends trading of Poultry Company shares

THE PHILIPPINES - The Philippine Stock Exchange yesterday suspended the trading of poultry producer Vitarich Corp. after the company filed a petition for corporate rehabilitation.

Exchange rules state that the bourse must immediately suspend the trading of a listed company that files for rehabilitation. The trading suspension will last until after the court approves a rehabilitation plan and the company submits a comprehensive corporate disclosure on the effects of the program on the capital structure of the company.

Among the companies that are currently under corporate rehabilitation are Liberty Telecoms Holdings, Steniel Manufacturing Corp., Universal Rightfield Properties Holdings Inc., Uniwide Holdings Inc., Victorias Milling Co., Ever Gotesco Resources and Holdings Inc., Philippine Realty Holdings Corp., Primetown Property Group Inc. and Pryce Corp.
