RFID tag maker says sales on the rise

Digital Angel Corporation CEO Kevin McGrath says sales are expected to surpass 1.9 million tags by the end of September. This, after only nine months, is already nearly 12% higher than total 2005 sales.

The increased sales are generally due to a greater awareness of electronic tags for livestock traceability, which is fueled by the federal government-sponsored National Animal Identification System, according to McGrath.
