The lawyers state that, alternative to staying the proceedings, the trial involving the family of Austin Johnson, who died of brain cancer, should be continued from its scheduled date of April 23, or the court should issue a certificate allowing all the suits’ plaintiff evidentiary issues to be decided on appeal.

The Greens, the Johnsons and other plaintiffs in the Prairie Grove area claim that roxarsone, a substance fed to chickens to enhance growth, broke down into a harmful form of arsenic when spread as chicken litter on Prairie Grove area fields and caused cancer and other health problems.
