The total amount of poultry meat produced in the first nine months of the year rose by 149,000 metric tons to 2.1 million metric tons slaughter weight.

The Russian agriculture ministry said that the rise in production is due to improved integration in the manufacturing processes, advanced technology and better productivity of the birds.

“Poultry rearing is the most technologically effective, dynamically developing and promising branch of the domestic agriculture scene,” said the Russian minister for agriculture, Aleksey Gordeeyev.
