Beginning March 5, he will manage the company's technical support structure for all Aviagen brands within Asia and will report directly to Dr. Wy Chee Chiang, Aviagen's senior vice president in Asia.

In addition, Evans will be responsible for the development and implementation of the company's action plans in Asia, and the identification and tracking of specific performance results that affect breed choice, regional product and brand development. By supporting the group technical structure, he will work closely with Aviagen's global head of technical transfer.

"This appointment strengthens Aviagen's commitment to provide the best technical service throughout the world," said Dr. Chiang. "Asia is a large and complex region and Bruce will drive our technical inputs to this diverse and growing customer base."

Evans joined Aviagen in 2000 and has more than 17 years of experience in the poultry industry. Most recently, he served as a technical service manager for the Middle East and Africa.
