Aviagen VP named VIV Asian Poultry Breeder of the Year

THAILAND - Aviagen, the world's leading poultry breeding company, is pleased to announce that Dr. Wy Chee Chiang, senior vice president for Asia, has been named the VIV Asian Poultry Breeder of the Year by International Hatchery Practice.

The Asian Pig and Poultry Personalities of the Year Awards were given during the opening ceremony of VIV Asia 2007, held recently in Bangkok, Thailand. These awards were jointly presented by VNU Exhibitions and Positive Action Publications to recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the pig and poultry sectors by giving freely of their time and expertise.

"I was very surprised and delighted to receive this award," said Dr. Chiang. "I have enjoyed working in the Asian poultry industry and will continue to work with my team in this region as it remains a significant market for global poultry production."

Dr. Chiang has been with Aviagen for 30 years and has more than 32 years of experience in the poultry industry. For many years, he was known as "Mr. Arbor Acres" throughout China. Since the acquisition by Aviagen in 1999, Dr. Chiang has been dedicated to continuously developing relationships with customers and ensuring the success of Aviagen brands in Asia.
