Hybro launches upgraded Technical Performance Feedback System (HTP+)

THE NETHERLANDS - In further support of global expansion and a vigourously growing customer-base, Dutch broiler breeding company Hybro B.V. has launched a new upgrade of its much-acclaimed Technical Performance Feedback System (HTP+) for customers worldwide.

First launched in 2002, Hybro’s HTP+ system registers and analyses technical and performance data from Hybro grandparent stock (GPS) and parent stock (PS), providing active management support for customers seeking optimum performance from their Hybro flocks.

One of the most interesting improvements to the upgraded system, is the incorporation of a dynamic new weekly feed advice module. Product manager Jos Hooijer, who has been largely responsible for the development and maintenance of HTP+, explains: “With this upgrade, the system can now specifically calculate the amount of feed required throughout the rearing cycle, based on the body weight information that is put into the system each week. In this way there is an interaction between flock performance and the feedback and advice derived from the system.”

And while HTP+ has not been developed to replace human intervention, it does, says Jos, mean that an increasing number of customers around the world now have fast, easy access to this type of qualified assistance on a day-to-day level.

The new module takes into account different rules regarding optimal flock management, according to product and life-stage – and based on the actual body weight and growth curve of the customer’s flock.

Other features of the upgraded HTP+ system include:

  • Language module, for greater user friendliness wherever in the world the customer is based.

  • Logging and comparison of competitor product performance data.

  • Updated standards for PG+, G+ and now including Hybro PN+, launched last year.

  • Advice on lighting conditions for open housing.

  • Separate groups for different houses / grading groups, for more flexibility in monitoring different groups between and within houses.

  • Inbuilt flexibility of data management to extend the rearing period.

“HTP+ has proven very successful since its introduction five years ago,” says Jos, “but as our product distribution grows, the quality and range of data available also improves, and this upgrade allows greater user-friendliness coupled with the ability to elicit more, practical, results-orientated information from the system than ever before.”

HTP+ has three key objectives:

  • To facilitate fast, direct technical support for Hybro customers worldwide

  • To deliver real-time customer feedback on commercial performance for Hybro’s breeding department and technical team, and

  • To share up-to-date performance monitoring and feedback on customers’ Hybro flocks, with tracking and comparison to average regional performance and Hybro’s published standards

Hybro’s HTP+ system has been developed in close consultation with the Dutch breeding company’s customers and colleagues around the world.
