In the month of June alone, sales totalled US$ 392.4 million, 76.7% more than in the same month last year. Shipments totalled nearly 260,000 tonnes, a 33% increase over June 2006.

According to the Abef, the expressive growth is due to the basis for comparison, as exports decreased last year as a consequence of a retraction in global consumption, resulting from avian flu outbreaks in Europe, Asia, and Africa.
