The events were held in cooperation with Ross distributors in each country. El Rocio in Lima, Peru, Super Pollo in Santiago, Chile, and Genetica Avicola in Maracay, Venezuela. Genetica Avicola also used the seminar as a forum to introduce their new grandparent complex, a recent 4.5 million dollar investment by the company.

Aviagen professionals from across the world came together to discuss specific technical issues relating to poultry management such as genetics, hen physiology and production, feed conversion troubleshooting, health and welfare, egg quality, pre-slaughter recommendations and male management.

"The seminars were very well attended and we were delighted with the overall success of the events," commented Luis Cesio, Aviagen's commercial manager for South America. "Many countries in Latin America are already maximizing the genetic potential of these birds and with educational opportunities like these we hope to continue and even improve on that success." Aviagen remains committed to providing technical support to distributors and customers locally through regional technical managers and with educational workshops and seminars.
