Music Boosts Egg Production

UK - A cracking plan has been hatched to help hens lay more eggs - by playing them classical music.

Farming officials said they believed listening to radio station Classic FM helped birds relax and increase the number of eggs they laid.

Gloucester farmer Charles Bourns, Poultry Board Chairman of the National Farmers' Union, said he saw a huge rise in production after playing classical music to his chickens.
