"We are looking forward to a record entry once again; and the wonderful Welsh Royal Crystal prizes are coveted by exhibitors all over the UK."

Stephen Kinsey Pugh, assistant director of the poultry section.

The event, held under the rules of the Poultry Club of Great Britain, is now a major attraction at the Winter Fair, with championship status.

“The show has now been established as one of the top winter poultry shows in the country,” said Stephen Kinsey Pugh, assistant director of the poultry section.

“We are looking forward to a record entry once again; and the wonderful Welsh Royal Crystal prizes are coveted by exhibitors all over the UK.”

The waterfowl section has 47 classes this year, and is organised in conjunction with the British Waterfowl Association. Visitors will be able to see a wide variety of colourful species, which have for centuries been hunted for food and sport, captured and domesticated, and whose populations have been threatened by the draining of many wetlands.
