Tyson Hearing Continued Until Next Month
US - U.S. District Court Judge Curtis Collier said he will continue a hearing next month in which attorneys for Tyson Foods are seeking to prevent an economist from testifying that hiring illegal immigrants depressed wages at eight poultry plants.Dr.George Borjas, an economics professor at Harvard University, testified for a class of former Tyson workers that hiring illegal immigrants allowed Tyson to save about $25 million at eight plants over eight years.
