Feed Specialist Novus Moves into Brazil
BRAZIL - Livestock supplement and feed specialist Novus International has opened its first animal operation in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The development is in line with the country's growth in the agriculture market, says the company.

Novus, based in St. Louis, Missouri, provides nutrition and health solutions for the animal feed and health industries. It serves customers in more than 80 countries around the world and has eight manufacturing plants in the US, Mexico, Germany, China and now Brazil.
The Sao Paulo site includes a 37,000-square-foot input feed facility with a monthly production capacity of 300 tons. It will produce anti-oxidants, mineral supplements, methionine and organic acids and focus on producing integrated animal health and nutrition products for the pork, beef, poultry, dairy and pet industries.
Brazil produced 26 billion litres of milk and 1.2 billion dozen eggs for the world market last year. It has one of the World's most progressive agricultural sectors.
"Brazil is among the countries that will dictate the pace and global growth of the agriculture industry over the next decade," said Giovanni Gasperoni, executive vice president of marketing and sales for Novus. The company says it is proud to be taking such an integral role in that development.
