Suguna Launches New Range of Branded Eggs
INDIA - Suguna Poultry Farm Ltd, a unit of the Coimbatore-based Suguna Group, has launched a range of branded eggs with added nutrient value. Addressing a press conference at the formal launch here today, Dr K. Ravindran, General Manager-Layer Marketing, Suguna Poultry, said that the branded eggs have a beneficial effect on human health.

Suguna Heart is for the health conscious, he said. It is enriched with Omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin E, and helps to bring down serum triglycerides and LDL cholesterol. The yolk cholesterol level is 24 per cent less than in ordinary eggs, according to Mr Ravindran. Suguna Heart is priced at Rs 26.40 for a six-egg pack.
Suguna Active is another brand of eggs with a high content of DHA, Vitamin E and organic selenium, all nutrients that have a positive impact on health, he said. A six-egg pack of Suguna Active costs Rs 23.50. The eggs are available at all leading retail shops and large stores, he said.
