NSW Greens MP Ian Cohen will move an upper house motion today against a new regulation that'll force the egg industry to increase cage sizes for battery hens in return for a guarantee there'll be no other major changes.

Mr Cohen says the cage increases only amount to a couple of credit cards per bird and will stop any efforts to move to barn-laid free range eggs.
