BioResource Intl Co-founder Receives WPSA Award

US - Dr Jason Shih, co-founder and chairman of BioResource International, has been awarded the World’s Poultry Science Association Research Award.

BioResource International Inc., a North Carolina-based biotechnology company, has announced that Dr Jason Shih was awarded the World’s Poultry Science Association Research Award at the 23rd Annual World’s Poultry Congress held just recently in Brisbane, Australia.

This prestigious award, which carries a cash award of $10,000, is presented each year to a scientist who has conducted scientific research that impacts poultry science worldwide.

Dr Jason Shih, Professor of Biotechnology in the Department of Poultry Science at North Carolina State University (NCSU), and his son, Dr Giles Shih, are co-founders of BioResource International, an enzyme technology company formed to commercialise Professor Shih’s research discoveries at NCSU.
