The 18 new products include water solubles, feed premixes, oral granules and injectable formulations of three brands Pharmasin (active compound Tylosin), Vetmulin (Tiamulin) and Tilmovet (Tilmicosin).

The products have been developed by Huvepharma's 50 strong in house research team, 15 of whom work exclusively on new products.

They are being launched in the major international markets as the national product approval processes are completed.

Huvepharma, which has production facilities in Bulgaria, Macedonia and St Louis USA, was formed just five years ago from the coming together of Biovet, Zelin and Balkanpharma.

Following the acquisition of both Merial's and Intervet's feed additives businesses, it has built a 28 per cent share of the global feed additives market.

Alain Kanora the company's Global Marketing Director said he believes that the company brings key skills in customised product formulations to the veterinary pharmaceuticals market which will enable Huvepharma to build a strong position in the sector and that more veterinary products are in the pipeline.
