Accordingly to an earlier statement from Oman Chamber of Commerce an Industry, Khalil Bin Abdullah Al Khonji, the OCCI Chairman stated, “The five-day week would definitely make it attractive for young Omanis to take jobs without hesitation in the private sector and would support the government efforts to nationalise jobs and increase the private sector’s contribution to the Omanisation drive.”

A’Saffa’s has changed to a five- day week with effect from 1 September 2008 and their new timings are 08:00-17:50 from Sunday to Thursday.
