Co-sponsored by US Poultry & Egg Association and the National Poultry and Food Distributors Association, the forum is scheduled for Friday 30 January from 08:00–10:00 in Room C-204 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

The cutting-edge program will feature three prominent industry economists who will take a comprehensive look at the year 2009. They will examine the key issues impacting the poultry industry and discuss near-term and long-term effects as the industry looks toward the future. They will offer insights on how the domestic and international poultry industries are adapting to changing economic conditions and globalisation, particularly with the fluctuating cost of feed and energy, and the corresponding pressures on markets.

The program and blue-ribbon panel is as follows:

Poultry Production – Are High Feed Costs Driving Us to Ruin?
Mike Donohue, Agri Stats, Inc.

Low Profitability – Can We Blame it on Ethanol?
Tom Elam, FarmEcon LLC

International Markets – What Does the Future Hold for the Poultry Industry?
Dr Paul Aho, Poultry Perspective

Admission to the Poultry Market Intelligence Forum is included with registration for the IPE/IFE.

The International Poultry Expo is the networking hub of the world for the poultry industry. Every segment of the poultry and egg industry is represented: feed milling, live production, hatchery, processing, further processing, packaging, commercial egg, marketing, and all support activities. In 2009, the American Feed Industry Association's International Feed Expo, the largest animal feed and ingredient show in the world, will co-locate for its third year with IPE for a remarkable opportunity for both exhibitors and attendees. IPE and IFE will take place on 28-30 January 2009 in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
