Successful Worldwide Promotion for EuroTier 2008
GERMANY - The show has previewed in 19 countries, and record international visitor numbers are expected. There will be a special lounge for international visitors.Agriculture experts, the farming supply industries and state policy makers the world over are better informed about EuroTier than ever before thanks to a global campaign by organiser DLG. With personal attendances and presentations at leading farming events in a total 19 different countries, the benefits and attractions of the world’s largest and most important animal farming event have been highlighted. Regions included in the DLG EuroTier promotion campaign: the Middle East, South and North America, Western and Eastern Europe and Asia Pacific including several events in Russia and China.
Never before have so many important decision makers in the farm and food sector been directly spoken to on their home ground and clearly informed about the attractions of exhibiting and attending EuroTier. The immediate result: exhibitor level is already higher than ever before, with more than 40% from outside of Germany. And a similar boost is expected for visitors. Influential government delegations from several key areas have already booked passages to Hanover in November.
"Our strategy is to present the EuroTier 2008 concept in countries with a strong animal production competence representing experts looking for solutions that are applicable to their home soil," says Dr Karl Schlösser, Project Manager for EuroTier.
"With around 1700 exhibitors, EuroTier offers visitors from any region in the world techniques, products and solutions that meet virtually any need they have at home. Our preview events always include the opportunity for personal interaction on animal production issues and this provides additional insight into the professional as well as logistical needs of the international visitors."
Feedback from the EuroTier previews held in the Middle East – a region with strong emphasis on poultry production - highlighted that feed and feeding systems, veterinary and animal welfare are particular points of interest. Also of increasing interest: bio-energy.
Interest at the Eastern Europe and Russian previews covered just about every aspect of animal production but with emphasis on genetics, feed and feeding systems with plans finalised for a special Eastern Europe Agriculture conference at the EuroTier event.
In China, where a number of EuroTier previews were held, delegations from the booming dairy industry and pig and poultry sectors are setting out for Hanover in November and to cater further for the interest a Chinese-European Pig Summit is organised at the event for 12 November.
Contacts made at the Brazil preview result in delegations heading for EuroTier from South America including one for large-scale poultry producers.
