A new state-of-the-art poultry processing plant is to be built in Turkey for the cooking and value-adding of 20,000 tons of product per year, according to Farming UK.

The facilities will include frying and snap freezing of chicken portions, burgers and nuggets.

The Keskinoglu Group of companies, has boasted an increase of 30% in poultry production in 2008, and will be investing US$14 million in the new complex.

The company will have ritual Halal slaughtering facilities for the total production.
