Private investors from Iran have plans to create several enterprises producing and processing agricultural produce in the Chelyabinsk Oblast, according to RusBusinessNews. The projects totaling around US$100 million will be developed on co-financing terms.

The regional government informed RusBusinessNews that Iranians propose to build a poultry farm for 500,000 poultry, a combined feed plant with the annual capacity of 100,000 to 300,000 tons and a farm for 3,000 cattle. The co-investors intend to invest up to $2 million at the project design stage. In the long term, the combined feed production can include grain provision and storage facilities, whilst the livestock complex will feature the meat processing production.

During their forthcoming visit to the Chelyabinsk Oblast, the Iranian businessmen will be presented several plots of land for the production facilities. The land is most likely to be leased on a long-term basis. By the end of this year, the Russian party should settle all administrative issues and incorporate a joint venture, whilst the Iranian party should find equipment suppliers.
