Emirates Quality Mark for UAE Poultry Company

UNITED ARAB EMIRATES - Al Jazira Poultry Farm LLC has been awarded the Emirates Quality Mark by Emirates Authority for Standardization & Metrology (ESMA).

ESMA is an apex federal body having the authority for assessing the quality of the goods in line with the UAE Standards. Achieving the Emirates Quality Mark from ESMA is a real matter of pride for any organisation, it says.

The Award was awarded by Engineer Mohammed Saleh Badri, acting director general of ESMA to Kamal Vachani of Al Maya Group on 19 November at the Ascot Hotel, Dubai.

Other ESMA officials to attend the award ceremony were Abdulla Al Muaini-Director of Conformity Affairs Department, Victorino Cena Abejero- Deputy Director of Conformity Affairs Department, and Mohammed Ahmed Al Mulla-Director of Metrology and Standards Department.

Al Jazira Poultry Farm LLC produces Golden Eggs and is Dubai's first egg producing farm, established in 1999. Al Jazira Poultry Farm is one of the few organisations in the food sector and the first poultry farm to achieve this status.

This achievement is in addition to its system management certifications for Food Safety Management System (FSMS), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), Quality Management System (QMS), Environmental Management System (EMS) and Occupational Health and Safety (OHSAS).
