APSS will be held over three days, and incorporates a cutting edge scientific programme and wonderful social opportunities to catch up with some of the world's leading poultry authorities.

Invited presentations will include:.

  • European poultry production systems, including whole grain feeding
  • Systems beyond ME – net or effective energy systems
  • Food safety and human health
  • Global goals to promote poultry production in developing countries, and
  • minor species.

A list of the international and local invited speakers can be found on our Speakers page of the symposium web site, and a draft programme is available on the Programme page, this will be updated as papers and presentations are confirmed.

The Postgraduate and Young Scientists Introduction is the first important social event where the 'up and coming' poultry researchers are introduced by way of a mentoring programme at the Monday evening Welcome BBQ, proudly sponsored by the Australian Poultry CRC.

The Symposium Dinner is the major social event of the conference and it will be held at the Harbour View Terrace at Sydney's Taronga Zoo, a real spectacular view of Sydney's skyline.
