VIV Europe 2010 - Preparations in Full Swing

NETHERLANDS - The organisers of VIV Europe are billing the event as the international platform for innovations in the animal protein industry. The show takes place in Utrecht on 20 to 22 April 2010.

The preparations for VIV Europe 2010, taking place from 20 to 22 April at Jaarbeurs Utrecht, the Netherlands are in full swing. Over 500 exhibitors already reserved a space, covering 36 different countries. VIV Europe will be centered around innovation in the animal protein industry. Many companies have chosen this international platform to show their new products to the world!

New at VIV Europe 2010

Matchmaking – Enterprise Europe Network Nederland proudly presents a unique platform for companies to meet new business and co-operation partners and share innovative technologies. Companies can request pre-arranged b2b-meetings according to their time schedule and co-operation interests.

Feed Tech pavilion – This year for the first time the market leaders of the Feed Technology Industry (machinery and equipment) will be present at VIV Europe. Companies active in the Feed Technology Industry will show their innovations to the attendees of VIV Europe.

Matchmaking at VIV Europe 2010

Enterprise Europe Network Nederland proudly presents a unique platform for companies to meet new business and co-operation partners and share innovative technologies. Companies can request pre-arranged b2b-meetings according to their time schedule and co-operation interests. This matchmaking event will take place on the 20 and 21 of April at VIV Europe in Utrecht. Participation is free of charge.

To register, companies can fill in a short questionnaire to describe their organisation, the kind of technology they offer or request and what kind of business partner they need. This short profile will be made available for registered companies only. After registration companies can be selected for a one-to-one meeting.

Feed Tech Pavilion

This year for the first time, the market leaders of the Feed Technology Industry (machinery and equipment) will be present at VIV Europe. Companies active in the Feed Technology Industry will show their innovations to the attendees of VIV Europe. A special Feed Tech Pavilion, situated in hall 7, will be the meeting point for anyone interested in the Feed Technology Industry (machinery and equipment).

The Feed technology companies who will be present at VIV Europe are: Van Aarsen International; Dutch Milling Technology; Amandus Kahl; Wynveen International; Pelleting Technology Netherlands (PTN); Andritz Feed & Biofuel A/S; Bühler Group; CPM; Ottevanger; Pres International and Jiangsu Muyang Group Co.

Eggs!

This year for the first time at VIV Europe 2010, the special theme Eggs! will be visible on the Eggs! Pavilion in hall 7. Several activities will take place on the Eggs! Pavilion, like the Eggs! Conference.

The Eggs! Conference made possible by VIV and Watt Publishing, takes place on Tuesday 20 April from 13.00 till 16.15 hours and on Wednesday 21 April from 10.30 till 17.15 hours.

The topics of the conference are related to the Egg-track. Different speakers, from related companies as well as with an academic background, will give presentations on breeder management, incubation & hatchery, day-old chicks & rearing, layer farms, egg handling and egg processing.

Other activities that will be present at the Eggs! Pavilion will be an Eggs! Information Lounge and an Eggs! Museum, made possible by the Dutch association, Blij met een Ei (happy with an egg) and the Dutch Poultry Museum. These activities show the latest developments and innovations on eggs as well as the history of the egg industry.

Meat Safety

Next to the special theme Eggs!, the special theme Meat Safety will be present at VIV Europe 2010. The Meat Safety Pavilion can be found in hall 12 and is made possible by Positive Action Publications (International Poultry Production, International Pig Topics and International Food Hygiene) and VIV.

Activities taking place at the pavilion are: a Meat Safety Quiz, a Meat Safety Walk and a Meat Safety Information Lounge. The Meat Safety Quiz will be held daily and visitors can win a free five year subscription to the magazine International Food Hygiene. The Meat Safety Walk will lead visitors along stands of companies who are active in meat safety. The Meat Safety Information Lounge will offer visitors the opportunity to read more information on meat safety. Next to these activities, an information desk will be present at the Meat Safety Pavilion, which will be used to inform visitors about the Meat Safety Conference.

The Meat Safety Conference will take place on Tuesday 20 April from 13.00 till 16.30 hours and on Wednesday 21 April from 10.00 till 17.30 hours. The conference will cover different subjects; farming & breeding, nutrition, slaughter & processing processes, retail & consumer, measuring & monitoring and opportunities & threats.

Holland Corridor

At VIV Europe 2010, the corridor between halls 7 and 12 will be decorated as the Holland corridor. Different stands will exhibit and sell souvenirs, representing Holland, for example a wooden shoe maker, an exposition of animal paintings, and stands with Dutch souvenirs and Dutch flower bulbs.

Country pavilions

At the exhibition floor of VIV Europe 2010, different country pavilions will be present. These country pavilions are: a Spanish Pavilion, a French Pavilion, an Italian Pavilion and a Chinese Pavilion. Next to the country pavilions, several international delegations will be visiting VIV Europe 2010, like a Russian and an Iranian delegation.
