With an exceptionally high standard of finalists in this year's new dairy category, the happy egg co. came out ahead of well established household names including Flora buttery, Pilgrims Choice cheeses and Isle of Man Creamery cheeses.

Rob Newell, head of Marketing for the happy egg co., said: "We are absolutely delighted to have received such a prestigious industry accolade after only one year of trading. With several new product developments planned for the year ahead, 2010 is shaping up to be a very exciting and busy time for the happy egg co."

Since launching in January 2009, the happy egg co. has secured listings in many of the major supermarkets including Sainsbury's Tesco, Co-op, Asda, Morrisons, Budgens and ocado.com.

the happy egg co. is committed to producing delicious eggs with rich, golden yolks laid by birds that enjoy everything that a normal healthy free-range hen requires for its freedom of expression and fullness of life. As well as plenty of green pasture to roam and forage, all Happy Egg farms are equipped with perching platforms and brashings to enhance the birds' natural surroundings.
