US - Tyson Foods is to carry out a $5 million upgrade at its poultry plant in Shelbyville, Tennessee.

The US poultry giant announced the upgrade that will create 40 new jobs last week, and according to a report in the Shelbyville Times Gazette work on the upgrade started at the weekend.
The upgrade is on the plant's chicken processing, packaging and labelling lines and includes the installation of new processing equipment.
The work is expected to be completed by the middle of May, the report says.
The company is reported to be already hiring for the new jobs at the plant.
